About External Insulation Dublin
External Insulation Dublin is a Dublin 2 based SEAI-approved external wall insulation contractor. For more than 20 years our team has wrapped Irish homes with NSAI-certified systems, helping homeowners cut energy bills, warm cold rooms and unlock SEAI grants of up to €8,000.
We focus on doing one thing extremely well — external wall insulation, installed correctly first time, with the paperwork handled on your behalf.

Our Story
External Insulation Dublin was set up to fix one specific problem — Irish homes that were too cold, too damp and too expensive to heat. Most of the housing stock across Dublin was built before 2011, when wall insulation standards were still catching up to modern climate targets. By specialising exclusively in external wall insulation we have built the deep installation expertise and SEAI grant knowledge that homeowners need to get the upgrade done correctly the first time.
Over two decades we have wrapped more than 1,200 homes — from apartments in the Docklands and terraces in Ranelagh to detached houses in Foxrock and coastal semi-detached homes in Blackrock and Dalkey. Every system we install is NSAI Agrément certified for Irish weather and finished with breathable, weather-tough silicone or silicone-acrylic render.

Our Credentials
SEAI Approved Insulation Contractor
Listed on the SEAI registered contractor panel for external wall insulation works in Ireland — required for homeowners to claim the Better Energy Homes grant.
NSAI Registered EWI Systems
We install NSAI Agrément-certified EWI systems, meaning every board, mesh and render finish has been independently tested against Irish weather and building standards.
20+ Years Experience
Two decades of wall upgrades across Dublin, with structural and weather warranties on every install.
What “NSAI registered” and “SEAI approved” actually mean
NSAI approved EWI systems have been assessed by the National Standards Authority of Ireland and issued an Agrément Certificate, confirming the insulation board, fixings, mesh and render build-up perform as claimed under Irish wind, rain and temperature conditions over a 25-year design life. We only fit NSAI registered EWI systems — never an unassessed or budget-imported alternative.
SEAI approved insulation contractor status means we are listed on SEAI's official panel of registered installers for the Better Energy Homes external wall insulation grant. Only work carried out by an SEAI approved contractor qualifies for the €3,500-€8,000 grant, and only NSAI registered EWI systems are eligible — so both credentials work together, and we hold both.
