Questions About the Finish

What does external wall insulation look like before and after?expand_more
Before, the wall is bare brick, block or pebbledash. After, the whole exterior is wrapped in insulation board and finished with a smooth, coloured render — most homeowners describe it as looking like a new build rather than a renovation.
Can I choose the render colour?expand_more
Yes. Silicone and silicone-acrylic render finishes come in a wide range of colours, and we bring physical samples to the site survey so you can see how a colour looks against your home before committing.
Does the whole house get done, or just some walls?expand_more
Most jobs wrap the full external envelope for the biggest thermal benefit, but partial jobs (a gable end or rear wall only) are possible where budget or access is limited — we'll advise what makes sense during the survey.
How long after installation does the finished render look like the after photos?expand_more
The render is fully cured and at its final colour within a few days of application, weather permitting. The whole project, scaffolding to finished render, typically takes 2-4 weeks depending on house size.
